This was a commercial advertising the March 12th opening of the extended Shinkansen line that reaches as far south as Kumamoto. The commercial was pulled from being aired as many thought it would be insensitive bomboarding the population of Japan with blatant commercialism so soon after the March 11th earthquake. It’s a great commercial that has been gaining a lot of popularity recently among the online community. It’s a great montage of the scenery you’d experience while riding the Shinkansen and gives a small peek at Japanese life.
