After lots of shameless promotion of the guest spot with the two creators of Nihongo Up, due to some technical difficulties (a dead MacBook Pro) we decided to reschedule and have them on in all their glory on a later date!  Picking up the pieces Andrew and Hiroki respond to some messages we got from you guys, show a video response to our “Beer + Ice” segment, talk about this year’s Summer Sonic, a strange ice cream top 10, a samurai sword smash and grab, and a drunken sounding rendition of the Japanese National Anthem!  Yet another action packed Bad Communication is live!

• I have some questions about Japan that might be something to cover. I obviously can do my own investigation when I decide to focus on that, but I am curious about ascetic tourism. Can I hitch hike? Can I camp anywhere I want or is it strongly controlled? Are there natural things one has to worry about? In the states every one tells you to fear this snake or that spider in their area, but it’s all largely exaggerated. Are there legitimate concerns like…. I don’t know… wild boars or some snakes or something? Are there routs that hikers and bikers take across Japan like our Appalachian trail and Pacific crest trail?
